An international 5-day forum for more than 400 practitioners who will discuss business and partnership models in organic and fairtrade cotton value chains in view of current global trends such as the economic crisis and climate change.
In 2009 a campaign promoting organic and fairtrade cotton fashion was launched. Core elements of the campaign are bills in more than 1000 locations, advertisements in newspapers and magazines and a web-based organic and fairtrade fashion shop guide.
Organiccotton.org is your web platform to share your knowledge and experiences about organic cotton with the worldwide organic cotton community – via an online discussion and information-exchange tool on the web platform.
In a one-week exchange and learning workshop, that took place from 19 – 25 April 2009 in Benin, participants could deepen their know-how on concepts and steps to develop organic and fairtrade value chains. The result will feed into an «organic business guide» that will be developed in collobaration with Agro Eco/Lous Bolk Institute, ICCO, IFOAM and UNEP.
